American Black Walnut: Dark, deep colour. Clean working and beautiful.
British Ash: Course but attractive grain. Tough and tasty.
British Oak: Quarter sawn timbers show stunning medulary rays. A gorgeous feature on a tough and timeless wood.
American White Oak: Cleaner and more simply grained than itŐs European cousin.
North American Maple: Light in colour and texture. Sometimes with a strong ripple and lustrous finish.
Cedar of Lebanon: Strong scented with a beautiful colour variation from heartwood to sapwood. Light and soft but durable.
European Beech: Fine textured subtle grain (almost a bit boring). A good all-round timber.
North American Cherry: A rich warm wood that is always a pleasure to work with. Making the workshop smell sweet when machining.
